Well, I put the CD on to play halfway through reading this and am now suffused with the sacred and beautiful sound of those pure voices!

Okay. Growing up with you as mom had to be one of those most amazing experiences! This whole story is AMAZING and wonderful. I imagine your children came with talent but still to get this sound together and capture in a recording must have lifted spirits despite the other goings on in your lives. Very happy to have listened and read this post! Thanks for sharing, Kate!

Oh dear Beth, yes, we did have many fine adventures and the Beane Christmas really was something else! It’s so great for me to get all these stories in one place…before I forget the details!

So beautiful. Magical voices. I, too, remember when you made it. Chrissie told me about and I’m pretty sure she has the CD. Such a wonderful story of your family.

Life is so interesting. I played and enjoyed this CD before I even met you! Now you’re my sister’s neighbor. Such a pleasure to know you and Bill! 🎄 Happy Holidays.

My good friend, Fred Finkel…he had some at his jewelry shop around Christmas time. 🥰

Aha! I probably gave those to Fred. We crossed paths back in the day - maybe through the contra dance band I played in. I invited him to play in a production of The Beggar’s Opera at The Waring School (two of my kids went there)…long time ago…1993?

Yes, he was crazy for you. I miss him…died four months after Dan (my husband) in 2012.

Listened through each beautiful piece. Twice. So moving - for me remembering so much of it then and embracing it so powerfully now.

Doesn’t need a single thing. (especially traveling suitcase of crafted ornaments!😂) Your narrative so wonderful.

Thanks, JP. I love that you enjoyed the piece and OMG! What I wouldn’t give for that suitcase full of ornaments! The Ghosts of Christmas Past. It is quite amazing to glance over all that we’ve done (and not done!) in our lives! We’re comin’ over to CAPE ANN COLLECTORS this afta!
