You should be a travel agent; you make me want to go there, especially with you and Bill.

Singing the hours is one of my infrequent, but favorite activities. I have done retreats at Glastonbury Abbey south of Boston. In the evening, the monks end by singing the Salve Regina, in Latin, facing an image of Our Lady of Glastonbury. I have not yet visited Magog, but you make it sound wonderful! It is fun to meet people and chat in their language. Speaking of thick accents -- J'te dit, c'est ben du fun! (Je te dit, c'est bien du plaisir!)

So glad you enjoyed the trip and I love that you enjoy singing the hours. We’ll have to try it sometime!! We visited Glastonbury Abbey yesterday for the first time! We were headed for Scituate and I’ve always wanted to see it.

'lovely story! I realize I've been to the Newport end of Lake Memphramagog many times, but haven't gone to the Eastern Townships since I was a child. Your wandering is an inspiration!
