Say Hello
Ode to a Grecian Flower Pot
A cherished flower pot
left in the winter garden
cracks and falls to pieces.
Tears are shed, but
mirabile dictu,
Super Glue brings rebirth
and deeper reverence for
the metamorphic power of struggle
My morning cereal can wait while I ride my bike in the predawn down the very middle of our usually busy street, weaving in magical blue light, looping lazily. from side to side, in defiance of convention, emptying myself into the world
as I watch from my writing desk on the second floor, the geese fly above in the vivid cold sun, the V formation, learned from birth, from northwest to southeast, trailing shadows the size of airplanes on neighborhood roofs squawking from the pond uptown to the quiet marsh grasses along the river that rushes out to sea
And now for the cheap commerce division. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by The Salisbury Library on December 13 to visit with area authors. I’ll be there, with bells on, tinsel at the ready.

Wait! So we can purchase an author and or her books?!?
Love the Salisbury Library. We're up north. Sorry, we can't make it. Happy Holidays to you and Bill.
